Public liability insurance holders have been told that young workers are wary of their employers and do not easily believe them, according to new research.
Badenoch & Clark found that out of 1,000 employees between 16 and 24, around a third did not trust what their bosses told them.
This figure has gone up almost 13 per cent from last year, where around 20 per cent said that they did not believe what their managers said.
"Without a culture of trust in the workplace, employers will struggle to foster employee engagement and in turn retain their workforce. As recruitment activity levels pick up, employers need to consider the strength of their relationship with employees," said Guy Emmerson, associate director of the firm.
