A cleaning company from Norwich has added its weight to the Health and Safety Executive's Shattered Lives campaign, warning public liability insurance holders about the dangers of slips, trips and falls.

Hannants Cleaning has got behind the scheme as it was revealed that 541 people in Norfolk had accidents in 2008-09 as a result of slips, trips or falls in the workplace, with 183 of them being major incidents.

Kevin Hannant, managing director at the cleaning firm, said that where working at height has to take place, his company carries out careful planning for each activity.

"As you can see we take working at height very seriously and whatever activities our employees are involved in, we make sure they are aware of how to carry out their work safely," he added.
