A government watchdog has announced that it is supporting an annual awards ceremony designed to recognise health and safety standards.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said that it is backing the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' (RoSPA's) yearly Occupational Health and Safety Awards, which will see public liability insurance holders rewarded for their efforts.
"We share RoSPA's view that competent health and safety advice, along with visible committed safety leadership, enables organisations to reduce accidents and ill health in a cost effective way. They also promote effective health and safety management as a vital part of good business and the sharing of best practice," an HSE spokesman said.
Public liability insurance holders can be part of the longest running and most highly respected safety award programs by filling out an entry form on RoSPA's website.
The award ceremony will also provide some positive publicity for the hard work that public liability insurance holders put in to their places of work.
