Builders liability insurance policyholders have been invited to a white van safety roadshow which is due to run across London.

It will launch a tour of construction sites from June 14th and aims to boost standards in this area, as 11 construction workers were killed in the capital between 2008 and 2009.

Among the areas that will be highlighted are transport at work, asbestos and dust-related conditions and practical demonstrations of new safety equipment will take place.

Tim Shambrook, project manager at the Health and Safety Executive, claimed that this is the perfect way to reach out to the industry and reduce the number of workers being injured.

He said: "The aim of the tour is to be engaging and show construction workers that we understand the pressures of working on a construction site but that cutting corners when it comes to health and safety is never a good idea."

Construction workers in Boston will also have access to information on the health and safety risks they face, as the south Lincoln Training Group Association is running two awareness days to explore the key issues affecting building sites in the area.ADNFCR-2022-ID-19831525-ADNFCR
